Hey guys i havent posted a blog in a while. sorrry i have been extremely busy. Recently i have had many family functions where i get to glam up :P. The picture is of me on a family wedding where i have created a blue smokey eye followed by bronze cheeks and nude lips. I complimented this look by creating an updo so that most attention was focused on the eyes.
How i created this look.
ITS SO SIMPLE!!
1) Apply your face primer and eye primer. I used MAC prep + prime. It helps your foundation stay on longer and it helps to prevent your eyeshadows creasing. Apply your foundation as you would do. I tend to use MAC studio fix followed by a MAC powder.
2) Apply your concealer under your eyes.
3) Use a silver loose powder eyeshadow near the inner corner of your eye also known as tear duct. Then follow this by using a dark blue eye shadow on the rest of your eye lid. Dont go above the crease!
4) Agood tip to get a clean edge is line your eyes with tape. If you are confident dont bother.
5) Once you have applied the blue eyeshadow over the eye lid, get a light purple and apply this slightly above your crease and below the brow bone. Blend this in circular motions into the blue with a blending brush. There should not be any harsh lines and it should appear as if the colours merge together naturally.
6) Apply a silver on your brow bone and blend this into the light purple which you added.
7) Now the top liner. I use MAC gel liner. Line your top eyelid and your water line.
8) Below your waterline apply the same blue you used on your eye lid. when you feel it is done remove the tape. You should have a clean line.
9) Apply mascara. Follow this with strip eye lashes.
10) Define your eyebrows if necessary.
11) Go over your foundation if you have any fallouts especially under the eyes.
12) Use a bronze blusher. I used MAC mineralise blusher. If not use any light blusher, but it should emphasise your cheek bones.
13) Use a nude lip pencil and nude lipstick. MAC do the best lipsticks in a wide range of colours. THATS IT YOUR DONE!!
